Hibachi Steak & Shrimp w/ Fried Rice

Recipe

Total Time: 30 minutes-1 hour

Cook Time 30 minutes

Feeds 3-5 people

Ingredients 

Fried Rice Ingredients

  • 3 cups of leftover jasmine rice 

  • 1 white onion diced

  • 3-5 tbsp of soy sauce 

  • 1 green onion diced

  • 3 eggs

  • 5 cloves of garlic diced

  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

  • frozen peas and carrots (optional)

  • 1-3 tbsp of butter 

  • Spicy Mayo for serving

Hibachi Beef

  • 2 lb of beef of your choice (I used ribeye) cut into 1-inch pieces

  • 1 tbsp of oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp of soy sauce

  • 3 garlic cloves diced 

  • 2 tsp of sugar

  • 1 tsp of MSG

  • 3 tbsp of butter

Hibachi Shrimp

  • 1 lb of shrimp

  • 3 tbsp of butter

  • 3 cloves of garlic diced 

  • 1 tsp of paprika

  • 1 tsp of MSG

  • 1 tsp of Soy Sauce

  • pepper to taste

FRIED RICE METHOD

  1. Get a pan hot with neutral oil and then add the whites of the green onion and the diced onion. Get color on the veggies

  2. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds 

  3. Add rice and stir together leaving no lumps of rice

  4. Add soy sauce and spices and combine

  5. Put rice to the side. Crack eggs in and then scramble. Once scrambled combine with rice

  6. Add butter and combine with the rice and sesame oil

  7. Top with green onions 

Steak method

  1. Marinade the steak with ingredients for at least 20 minutes but up to a couple of hours 

  2. Get Pan screaming hot add some neutral oil and add the steak to the pan

  3. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the marinade is cooked off and is an excellent glaze

  4. Add butter to the pan with heat off and stir to melt 

Shrimp Method

  1. Marinate shrimp for 20 minutes

  2. Add butter to a pan with neutral oil and then add garlic

  3. Cook for 30 seconds, then add shrimp and cook till shrimp is done about 2-3 minutes. The shrimp will be in a C shape when it’s done
