  • 2 tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp MSG

  • 1-3 tbsp of butter (optional)

For Stir Fry

  • 1 lb fresh flat rice noodles (please get fresh it makes all the difference)

  • 1-3 eggs (depending on how much you want)

  • 1 head of Chinese Broccoli (Gai Lan) chopped into bite-size pieces

  • 4-6 cloves of garlic chopped

  • 2 tbsp any neutral oil

For Sauce

  • 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce

  • 1.5 Tbsp Soy Sauce

  • 1 tbsp black soy sauce (if you do not have to add an extra tbsp of soy sauce)

  • 1 tsp MSG

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp sugar

For Garnish

  • Green onions

  • Thai chili peppers sliced

Method

  1. Combine the marinade ingredients and set aside for about 20 minutes. Combine all sauce ingredients to make the sauce

  2. Add steak to a preheated pan with oil, sautee it till cooked through, add butter towards the end, and set aside.

  3. In the same pan add oil and warm it up till it is shimmering. Then add your chopped garlic to the pan and saute for about 30 seconds or until golden brown. Then add your chopped Chinese broccoli to the pan and saute until soft.

  4. Add your noodles to the pan and incorporate them with the broccoli and garlic and then add your sauce and mix to combine. Spread it evenly around the pan for the noodles to sear a little bit for 30 seconds to a minute

  5. Push noodles to one side and crack egg(s) into one side and scramble them. Once scrambled mix with noodles.

  6. Add beef back to the pan and mix to combine. Then plate up and make it look sexy by adding some chili peppers and green onions. Take a picture of your marvelous creation and then shove your face in this magnificent dish perfect by Thai and Vietnamese people. Thank you.
